Dublin will play host to an important workshop as part of the 3rd International Congress on Planted Forests from 16th May to 18 May. This event, under the flagship of the European Forest Institute, is a combined workshop with our colleagues from the United Kingdom. It will provide a unique opportunity for Irish and UK foresters and those concerned with the part planted forests play in our environment. The workshop will cover a range of topics on ecosystem services and landscape restoration in planted forests, as detailed in the attached programme.

A follow-up plenary session will take place in Portugal the week after the Dublin workshop when the conclusions of the Dublin Workshop, and two other workshops (Bordeaux and Porto), will be presented. Details of the full congress can be found here.

A special conference fee of €75 (66 pounds stg.) per day, which includes lunch, tea and coffee breaks, has been negotiated with the European Forest Institute (EFIATLANTIC) for Irish and UK participants. You should ensure when registering on-line that you state you are Irish or UK participants, the days you will attend and whether you will participate in the field trip on Saturday 18th May (an additional €50 or 44 pounds Stg.)
